Building Custom AI Assistants course cover

Set it up once. Help everyone, every day.

01

The same great start, every time

Your team stops retyping the same background. Everyone starts from the same instructions, facts and tone, so good work becomes the normal work.

02

Answers you can trust

A scored test set and a simple launch gate show you the assistant is ready before anyone relies on it, and keep it that way as things change.

03

Ready for any platform

A one-page spec and a test set travel with you, so your assistant can move to a new platform with a rebuild and a retest.

Learning outcomes

What you will be able to do

Eight practical outcomes, each practiced in an exercise and checked in the final assessment or the capstone.

  1. Explain what a custom AI assistant is, name its parts, and describe the main platform options and how they are changing.
  2. Choose a use case worth building by scoring candidate tasks with a simple scorecard.
  3. Write a platform-neutral Assistant Spec with clear boundaries and success measures.
  4. Write clear, structured instructions and add well-prepared knowledge files.
  5. Write conversation starters and complete a first build on an approved platform.
  6. Build a test set, score results with a rubric and improve one change at a time.
  7. Handle data safely in knowledge files, instructions and sharing.
  8. Share an assistant with your team, maintain it over time and review its value.

The Camderson method

Simple tools that take an assistant from idea to everyday use

Plan it: the Use Case Scorecard and the Assistant Spec

Repeats · Stable · Clear · Checkable · Safe · Job · Boundaries · Success measures

Pick the task that will help most and risk least, then write the assistant down in ten lines before you build.

Build it: the Instruction Blueprint and the Knowledge Pack Checklist

Role and purpose · Steps · Rules · When unsure · Examples · Needed · Current · Clear · Named

Write instructions as a plan, keep the files few and current, and give people starters that show them how to begin.

Prove it: the Assistant Test Deck and the One Change Loop

Core · Edge · Out of scope · Missing info · Correct · Grounded · Format · Boundaries

Test with realistic requests, score every reply the same way and improve one change at a time until the launch gate is met.

Keep it: the Launch Card, the Care Plan and the Value Review

Screen · Share · Launch · Review · Retest · Keep · Improve · Retire

Share it safely with your team, keep it accurate on a schedule and decide with evidence what comes next.

Build it once. Test it honestly. Keep it helpful.

Any platform your organization approves. The course shows where each part goes in ChatGPT (projects, skills and plugins, with custom GPTs until OpenAI retires them on December 11, 2026), Microsoft Copilot agents, Google Gemini Gems and skills, and Claude projects. Every exercise also works with the included practice files.

Who is this course for?

Everyone on every team who repeats the same kind of AI task: customer care, operations, facilities, finance, people and culture, marketing, sales, IT, team leads and managers. The example is a facilities company, and the method fits offices, clinics, schools, nonprofits and businesses of every size.

How long do I have access?

Your access does not expire. AI platforms change often, so we review the course every quarter, and any updates are added for you at no extra cost.

How long does it take?

About 5 hours in total, including the written lessons and their videos, the Try it exercises, the knowledge checks, the final assessment and the capstone. Everything is self-paced.

Do I have to use my own work for the capstone?

No. Camderson Academy is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them. Every platform detail was checked against the vendors' own help pages on October 27, 2026, and the course quotes no prices.

Is the certificate accredited, or does it carry professional credit?

Neither. You receive a Camderson Academy Certificate of Completion after passing the final assessment and the capstone, an Assistant Build Pack that a person reviews. It is not an academic credential, is not accredited, is not a certification from any AI vendor and does not carry continuing education or other professional credit.

Is there a money-back guarantee?
