Email Marketing That Converts course cover

Email is the channel you own. Most programs leave its value on the table.

01

One email for everyone

The same weekly message goes to new subscribers, loyal customers and business buyers, so it fits almost no one and few people act on it.

02

Good emails in spam

Missing authentication, hard-to-find unsubscribe links and addresses nobody remembers giving all push email toward the spam folder, order confirmations included.

03

No sequences, no learning

Nothing reaches people at the moments they are most ready, and decisions rest on open rates that privacy features have made unreliable.

Learning outcomes

What you will be able to do

Six practical outcomes, each practiced in an exercise and checked in the final assessment or the capstone.

  1. Map an email program to business goals, with each stream's job, trigger, owner, message type and the measures that matter.
  2. Build and keep a list with permission, applying CAN-SPAM, consent rules in other countries such as Canada and the United Kingdom, and privacy basics.
  3. Meet Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook.com sender requirements and protect deliverability with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, one-click unsubscribe and list hygiene.
  4. Segment a list with honest signals and plan welcome, nurture, cart, after-purchase and win-back sequences that help people buy.
  5. Write emails that convert honestly and accessibly, with one clear job, a truthful subject line and no false urgency.
  6. Test and measure fairly, read results with the right cautions and plan the next improvements.

The Camderson method

Teaching tools for email you can use tomorrow

The Consent Ledger and the Inbox Readiness Check

Source · Evidence · Keep, ask once or remove · SPF · DKIM · DMARC · One-click unsubscribe · Complaint rate

Know how everyone on your list joined, then prove your email really comes from you and make leaving easy, so your messages reach the inbox.

The Segment Grid and the Sequence Blueprint

Honest signals · What each group gets · Day · Job · One main action · Help given · Exit rule

Send each group the email that fits, and plan sequences that help before they sell and stop the moment they no longer fit.

The Conversion Draft Check

One job · True subject · Useful preview · Point first · Readable · Honest · Required parts

Seven questions before any important send, so every email is clear, accessible and truthful, with real dates instead of fake urgency.

The Fair Test Card and the Email Scorecard

Random split · One change · Measure chosen in advance · p-value · List health · Revenue per 1,000 · Complaint lines

Test calmly, read results with the right cautions and track the few numbers that show whether your program is working.

Ask first. Help first. Test fairly.

Is this course right for you?

This course is for you if

  • You write, plan or send email to customers, members, donors or prospects, in any role or department: owners and marketers, sales, customer care, operations, web and IT, finance, recruiting or a nonprofit team
  • Your list grew without a plan, your emails sometimes land in spam, or you are not sure what the rules allow
  • You want welcome, nurture and follow-up sequences that help people buy, and a simple way to test and measure them

It is not the right fit if

  • You are brand new to marketing and want the whole plan across website, search, email and social first (CA-MS-003 Digital Marketing for Small Businesses covers that, including email basics)
  • You want training on one specific email platform's buttons and settings (this course works with any platform)
  • You need legal advice on a specific email law, contract or list (the course points you to the official sources and a qualified legal adviser)

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any experience or a previous course?

This is an intermediate course for people who already send some email. The email basics in CA-MS-003 Digital Marketing for Small Businesses are helpful but not required, and every tool works whether you send one newsletter a month or run a dozen sequences.

Who is this course for?

Everyone who writes, plans or sends email to customers, members, donors or prospects, in every role and every department. The examples come from a stationery company with marketing, customer care, corporate sales, operations and web teams, and the tools fit shops, clinics, software companies, nonprofits, schools and organizations of any size.

How long do I have access?

Your access does not expire. Email rules and mailbox provider requirements change often, so we review this course regularly, and any updates are added for you at no extra cost.

How long does it take?

About 4 hours in total, including the written lessons and their videos, the Try it exercises, the knowledge checks, the final assessment and the capstone. Everything is self-paced, and most exercises use your own email program.

Do I have to use my own email program for the capstone?

No. You can build your Email Program Plan for the fictional Wexcombe Climbing Gym using the brief included. If you use a real organization, use counts and roles and leave out subscribers' names, email addresses and other personal details.

Is this legal advice?

No. This course is general education about email marketing. It is not legal advice. Email, consent and privacy laws and mailbox provider rules change often and vary by country, state and business, so check the official sources named in each lesson and talk with a qualified legal adviser before you rely on a rule, email people in another country, or change how you collect and use personal information.

Is the certificate accredited, or does it carry professional credit?

Neither. You receive a Camderson Academy Certificate of Completion after passing the final assessment and the capstone, an email program plan that a person reviews. It is not an academic credential and does not carry continuing education, continuing professional education (CPE) or other professional credit.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes. You are covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. If the course is not right for you, email connect@camderson.com within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. No questions asked. Your course access ends when the refund is issued.

What tools do I need?

A spreadsheet program that opens .xlsx files (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers or LibreOffice Calc), a word processor that opens .docx files and a PDF reader. Access to your own email platform helps, but the course does not require any particular one.

Ask first. Help first. Test fairly.
