Customer Experience Excellence course cover

Good work gets lost in the moments around it.

01

The same questions, over and over

Customers call to ask when, how much or what happens next. Each repeat question is a sign that a promise or an update is missing, and it costs customers and your team time.

02

One bad moment outweighs the rest

A long silent wait, a surprise on the invoice or a rushed reply can undo an otherwise great job. Customers remember the worst moment and the ending.

03

Complaints get handled, then forgotten

Feedback lives in phone notes, inboxes, review sites and surveys. Each one is answered, but nobody sees the pattern, so the same problems keep coming back.

Learning outcomes

What you will be able to do

Eight practical outcomes, each practiced in an exercise and checked in the final assessment or the capstone.

  1. Explain how customer experience spans the whole journey and drives loyalty and complaints, and use the five dimensions customers judge.
  2. Set clear expectations with a Service Promise and the Expectation Script.
  3. Map one customer journey and the backstage work behind it.
  4. Find the moments that matter with the Moment Map and the complaint log.
  5. Serve customers well in everyday contacts: listen so they feel understood, give clear updates and include every customer.
  6. Recover from service failures with the Match Check, the Recovery Script and Calm, Clear, Safe.
  7. Measure experience with more than one number and close the loop with every unhappy customer.
  8. Help build a customer-centered team with a Decision Card and service standards, guardrails for chat assistants and self-service, and an Improvement Plan.

The Camderson method

Teaching tools for customer experience you can use tomorrow

The Journey Map and the Moment Map

Stages in the customer's words · Doing · Thinking · Feeling · Importance · Performance · Fix first

See one customer's journey the way they live it, then score each moment for importance and performance so your team fixes the few that matter most.

The Service Promise and the Expectation Script

What we will do · By when · How customers will know · What happens next · When · Who · How you will hear · What if it changes

Write a promise customers can check and your team can keep, then give updates that answer the next question before the customer has to ask.

The Restate Check and the Recovery Script

Let them finish · Restate the impact · Check · Next step · Hear it · Own it · Fix it · Make it right · Follow up

Listen so customers feel understood, then recover from a failure with a clear, sincere sequence matched to what went wrong.

The Complaint Log and the Improvement Plan

One log · Ranked by count · Close the loop · Moment · Promise · Small test · Measures · Review dates

Gather every complaint in one place, call back unhappy customers, fix the cause for everyone and turn results into a 90-day plan.

See it. Fix it. Keep it fixed.

Is this course right for you?

This course is for you if

  • You serve customers or support the people who do: care and support teams, front desk and counter staff, technicians, dispatchers, sales and account teams, operations and back-office staff, team leads and owners
  • Customers keep asking the same questions, complaints repeat, or a few bad moments overshadow good work, and you want practical ways to fix them
  • You want tools and scripts you can use on your next call, visit or message, and a simple way to show what improved

It is not the right fit if

  • You mainly want to win new customers (CA-MS-001 Sales Fundamentals & Customer Acquisition covers that)
  • You want to build or configure AI customer service tools in depth (Lesson 6.2 teaches the guardrails, not the technical setup)
  • You need legal advice on refunds, reviews, accessibility or consumer law for a specific situation (the course points you to your manager or legal team)
